Hopefully now Covid laws are relaxing we may be able to resume organizing some monthly support meetups in each State, so keep an eye out on here and our facebook page and newsletter.

NDIS providers – Hireup provide services to match support workers with patients, families and carers.

As discussed in our latest Arachnoid Cyst Awareness Australian Support Group Newsletter for May, this year we will be able to join the organization Hireup for their monthly sessions on navigating the NDIS. Their online event is held the first Tuesday of each month. I will advertise the event each month with the topic. Hireup have a panel of experts who are able to answer any questions you may have.
The next Event will be Housing Options and the NDIS.

The next NDIS Meeting – to be held is Tues 5th July 12pm-1pm

August Hire up zoom NDIS meeting is to be held Tuesday 2nd August 12pm – 1pm
This Months Meeting is how to review a planning decision, and when a reviewable decision may be escalated to the administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT)
This will prove very productive as if you are on the NDIS and find you need to put in a review for support need or a service that has been denied you will discover how to navigate your situation.
The September HireUp NDIS zoom meeting will be on Tuesday 6th of September. This months zoom meeting is NDIS for Autism.
We do have families who have both Arachnoid Cysts and Autism in their families, so it is hoped this can be helpful.

HireUps October NDIS zoom Meeting will be – Tues 4th October 2022 12pm – 1pm
This session has some good information for Parents, carer’s and those supporting someone on the NDIS.
The discussion will be held around the importance of support networks, how to build sustainable support networks and what options are available to support my dependents when you can no longer provide support.

Novembers NDIS Meeting is Tues 1st November 2022 12pm – 1pm
This session discusses what it means to be a registered provider with the NDIS vs an unregistered provider. It will also be discussed what it is to decide – to be registered with an agency to look after your whole plan or select your own supports but have an agency manage your funding. Or you look after and manage your whole plan yourself.
