Finding Support and Support Needs and Support Organisations. (Links)

To find us on facebook go to http://www.facebook.com/groups/acystawareaustsupportgroup/

On this page we are providing a list of Drs who have a knowledge of Arachnoid Cysts and how to treat them, we will add more professionals as we find them.

We have included Services and Support Organisations to help patients and to find the assistance they may be needing.

We have included links to two companies who manufacture a great range of safety helmets for patients who are having falls or seizures and on the children’s page you can find the children’s range of helmets.

Australian Neurosurgeons with a Knowledge of The Treatment Of Symptomatic Arachnoid Cysts.

At the present time we are trying to gather information through our Patients on their treating Neurosurgeon’s who have a comprehensive knowledge of treatment plans and surgery for the symptomatic a/c patient. To Date there are only a handful of n/s that we are presently aware of.

There have been some good neurosurgeons in the past who are now retired, so it is hoped more surgeons will start to research further into our condition, as the baby boomers and generation x enter later into their lives, they are displaying more permanent neurological symptoms that are yet to be understood.

There is a desperate need to find more surgeons as we do we will add to our lists, making it easier to find assistance for our patients, families and carers.
